The Recovered Alcoholic Clergy Association (RACA) is a working fellowship of the clergy of the Episcopal Church. Any bishop, priest, deacon, member of a religious order, or seminarian who has a desire to stop using mood altering chemicals is eligible for membership. RACA is always willing offer support and counsel to ordained members of other religious traditions who want to discover the miracle of recovery as we have experienced it.
RACA has grown from the original six organizers in 1968 to 277 in 2008 our fortieth year of being more or less organized..
RACA's purpose is three-fold:

Father Courtney's home address is or through RACA sponsors annual retreats for recovering clergy. The principal one is held in the mid-west in May each year. The 2009 dates are pending in May! The RACA Fall Retreat will be held at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from Monday afternoon October 27 thru mid morning Wednesday October 29, 2008. This is a Bally's hotel so you can choose amongst all of them which are nearby. Rates start at $45.00 a day for a deluxe room. Retreat will include AA meetings, regular prayer and plenty of time for sightseeing. Come early stay late. October in the desert is fabulous. Air fares to Las Vegas are amongst the cheapest anywhere in the world. |
