The Recovered Alcoholic Clergy Association (RACA) is a working fellowship of the clergy of the Episcopal Church. Any bishop, priest, deacon, member of a religious order, or seminarian who has a desire to stop using mood altering chemicals is eligible for membership. RACA is always willing offer support and counsel to ordained members of other religious traditions who want to discover the miracle of recovery as we have experienced it.
RACA has grown from the original six organizers in 1968 to 297 in 2007.
RACA's purpose is three-fold:
Members live in virtually all of the United States as well as, Canada, Australia, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

Father Courtney's home address is or through RACA sponsors annual retreats for recovering clergy. The principal one is held in the mid-west in May each year. The 2008 Spring retreat will be held at the Mercy Center, 2039 N Geyer Rd, St. Louis, MO May 13-15. The cost is $180.00. Your check will serve as your reservation and should be sent to: Father Steve Winsett, 2990 Anna Lane NW, Corydon, IN 47112 The retreats are AA based and include regular times of liturgical prayer, AA meetings as well as time for fellowship, consultation and free space. |
